The City of Rancho Cucamonga Community Services Department has long been dedicated to offering our residents opportunities for improving their health and fitness. In addition to traditional sports programs, the City of Rancho Cucamonga is introducing the New Healthy RC Walking and Running Clubs, the New Healthy RC Challenge and several new programs that fit within the “Healthy RC” concept. Check out our Grapevine or RCpark.com for all our classes & programs; or click on the links below for just a few of the programs we’ve created or incorporated Healthy RC concepts:

Healthy RC Challenge

The Healthy RC Challenge uses CoreHealth software to track and motivate participants as they work towards a healthier lifestyle.

Run. Walk. Bike. Yoga. Dance. No matter which activity you choose, it all adds up to a healthier lifestyle in the Healthy RC Challenge! Use the Activity Tracker to Track Your “Steps” – Pick your Activity and the Minutes – It’ll Convert it to “Steps” – Or, Create and Save Your Own Personal Routes with Google Maps – It’ll Convert it to “Steps” - Create a Team – Track your “Steps” Together and Watch your progress on our virtual goal to, as a community, walk from Rancho Cucamonga to Washington DC! Use the System to track your progress or sign up for a Walking / Running Club and earn prizes! As an individual or on a team; “Come on Healthy RC & Let’s Walk to DC!”

Healthy RC Walking and Running Clubs

The goal of the clubs is to promote healthy lifestyles, to motivate families to be active together and to collectively walk or run in one year the equivalent of traveling across the U.S.A. Tied into the Healthy RC Challenge, participants meet in small groups, are led by a volunteer and will receive a pedometer (while supplies last), incentives and more!

Senior Healthy Habits

The Community Services Department challenges seniors to make the commitment to improve their health by participating in healthy programs at the James L. Brulte Senior Center. Senior Healthy Habits encourages our Senior community to participate in multiple health related programs and earn prizes and incentives!
