Since
its incorporation in 1977, the City of Rancho
Cucamonga has established a positive reputation
for quality housing, outstanding park facilities,
first-rate recreation and community service
programs and the best in safe and responsive
public services. Rancho Cucamonga is still a
young and dynamic community with an exciting
future.
To ensure that Rancho Cucamonga
community will continue to flourish and to enrich
the quality of life, the City established the
Rancho Cucamonga Community Foundation as a non-profit
501(c)(3) public benefit corporation in April
1987.
The purpose of the Community
Foundation is to raise and manage funds to assist
the City in improving the cultural and recreational
services to the citizens of Rancho Cucamonga.
The support, promotion and advancement of these
services by the Foundation is in addition to
existing City conducted programs.
Areas of emphasis supported
by the Foundation include:
- Cultural and performing arts
- Visual arts
- Recreational services
The existing goals of the Foundation include:
-
Support the operations
of a Community Theater facility and develop
an annual series of Community Performing
Arts programs within the theater.
-
Plan and conduct a large
biennial “Foundation Signature Event”
to raise funds for one or more of the Foundation's
identified projects.
-
Conduct programs and
activities to raise funds that will be used
directly for designated new and/or expanded
community wide events.
-
Promote and receive
community donations and distribute funds
in accordance with the Foundation’s
objectives and desire of donors.
In realizing its goal of enriching
the quality of life for our community the Foundation
has provided valuable support to a wide variety
of programs and organizations. A few of the
